Dr Dixit Diet Plan

 Summary of the diet plan suggested by Dr Dixit MBBS MD (PSM) to 

a) reduce obesity

b)reverse pre-diabetes and 

c) reduce the medicines required for Type 2 diabetes patients. ( under medical supervision only after consulting your doctor)


                                                                       Diet Plan

               1. Identify the two  times in a day when you are most hungry.

    ( For example 9:30 am to 10 am and 5:30 pm to 6 pm OR 12:30 pm to 1 pm and 8:30 pm to 9 pm                               OR any other suitable timing that works well for you.)

              2. Eat only 2 meals a day as per your decided timing. In between the meals, drinking only                        water is preferable.

             3. Finish each of the meals within a maximum time of 55 minutes only. You may eat all                        kinds of food during the meals but stick to the time limit of 55 minutes.
                 For example if you wish to drink milk or eat fruits or dry fruits you must eat these items                       along with your food within  55 minutes.

             4. The only items that can be taken between meals are water, black tea without sugar,                              coconut water without white fruity part ( without malai), one or two slices of a tomato                         (maximum one tomato in a day) and light plain buttermilk.
                 However for best results stick to water only between meals.

             5. If you are a diabetic person no sweets or sugars are allowed in your meal. Others should                      also decrease the consumption of sweets and sugar.

  • Dr Dixit also recommends brisk walking for 45 to 50 minutes every day.

  • Before starting this diet plan you may check your Blood sugar, fasting serum insulin and HbA1c levels and repeat them after three months to determine progress.

  • This plan is  one of the SIMPLEST  and MOT EFFECTIVE diet plans based on the theory that insulin secretion in the body should be minimized in order to decrease obesity.
